Text bubbles use browser-side WebCrypto ECDH on P-256, hash the shared bits through SHA-256, and encrypt message text with AES-GCM before submit. The plaintext field is stripped from the form, so typed text lands as ciphertext plus IV instead of raw text.
Chicle.chat is still not Signal-grade messaging. There is no double-ratchet or full forward-secrecy model. Attachments and voice blobs are also platform-visible. Illegal content is not permitted, and Cloudflare-fronted abuse controls may be used for CSAM-related response and escalation.
